Everything You Need To Know For Your Microchanneling Treatment

  • Do not use acids like AHA’s/BHA’s, Retinols, hydroquinone, benzoyl peroxide or over-the-counter topical medications for 7 days.

    Avoid IPL/Laser, chemical peels, unprotected sun exposure or sunburn 2 weeks prior to treatment.

    Do not have electrolysis, facial waxing, or use depilatories for 5 days

    Must wait 2 weeks post filler & Botox

    Must wait 6 months after being on Accutane

    Do not take any anti-inflammatory medications such as Ibuprofen, Advil, Motrin for 3 days prior. These agents will interfere with the natural inflammatory process that is critical and responsible for skin rejuvenation.

    Use a broad spectrum UV protection (min SPF 30) and reapply per instructions on the bottle.

  • Do not participate in activities that would cause excessive sweating for 48 hours

    Do not use hot tubs, steam rooms, or saunas or go swimming

    Flaking or peeling may start 3-5 days after treatment. Allow skin to flake off naturally. Do not pick. Picking could cause scarring or hyperpigmentation.

    Keep your skin moisturized at all times with a medical-grade Hyaluronic Acid serum and light moisturizer. Apply to skin every 2 hours if needed.

    Avoid sun exposure and excessive heat. Use a broad spectrum UV protection (min SPF 30) for at least 3-4 weeks and reapply per instructions on the bottle.

    After 5-7 days you may start your regular skincare routine again, including the use of Retinol once your skin is no longer irritated.

    History of any type of cancer

    History of eczema, psoriasis or other chronic conditions

    Active cold sores. If you are prone to cold sores anti-viral mediation is recommended 2 days prior

    Immunosuppression

    Cardiac abnormalities

    History of solar keratosis, diabetes or warts on targeted area

  • Topical lidociane numbing cream is applied to the treatment area.
